Each home wants to have a toilet. Many times the toilets that come with our homes are either uncomfortable or do not work reliably. In many brand new houses cheap toilets with little seats and flushing mechanisms that don’t work best are usually installed.

When it comes to the way the toilet flushes you will have three main options : gravity, vacuum, and pressure assisted. Gravity toilets are the standard types of toilets that we are all familiar with. Vacuum toilets are very much like gravity toilets except the flush is formed by all the air being pulled out from behind the trap and sucking the contents down the bowl. These toilets will look different because the bowl will not fill with water. Pressure aided toilets employ a blast of water to bump the contents out of the bowl. These toilets are very loud and have a giant tank which holds the pressurization mechanics. There is not any real winner among all the different types of flushing apropos performance.

When buying the best toilet there is actually not much connection between price and performance. Frequently the heavy price of a toilet has more to do with a sense of style or brand name than how it operates. All toilets sold nowadays are required to be low flow toilets which means that they are going to use 1.6 gallons of water or less per flush. While these types of toilets were inefficient when they first came out they perform quite well nowadays. There can be some issues cause by installing low flow toilets in an older home because they kind of pipes that are installed are not made to use less water. Regularly toilets with elevated tanks will get a better flush making them in my opinion the best toilets. If you like low boy or floor sitting tanks you’ll need to choose if the trade off in performance is worthwhile.
